Chauncey Meyer, the leader in architecture & interior.
The distinguished designer, Chauncey Meyer, a member of AIA, and one of the foremost architects in Tucson, asks questions because he has to. It’s in his nature to know how to affect a space. He needs to see the light that will live in a structure he designs.
Chauncey provides a substantial core of services including architectural design, space planning, and environmental conservation which provide the ideal techniques for Arizona construction.
“A space should have a grace about it. Good architecture shouldn’t overwhelm, it is the place to enjoy without noticing. The space I design should feel clean, refined, and comfortable.”
His soft Midwest style, with a solid southwest background, allows him to speak from experience when conceptualizing a home for native Arizonans or new Snowbirds.
1. Design Development
Development begins with work on small-scale drawings that illustrate room relationships and functions based on the needs and requirements of the owners. Then I move to preliminary larger-scale drawings and specifications that describe the size and character of the project.
2. Bidding & Negotiation
After acquiring technical drawings and specifications, I assist the owner in attaining bids and/or negotiated proposals and assist in awarding and preparing the contract for construction.
3. Construction Administration
I manage the progress and quality of work completed. Any known deviations from the contract documents will be reported to the owner. I review and approve shop drawings, product data, and samples for conformance with the design concept.
4. Completion
Finally, I review change orders for owner’s approval and execution. I then interpret and decide matters concerning intent of and reasonably inferable from contract documents. Then I process the project close-out and punch list for final completion.
The wonderful thing about working with Chauncey was his patience. There was never a time when he didn’t take my phone call or wasn’t available to discuss our construction. He never seemed to get ruffled by any obstacles and we ended up with such a wonderful home. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience.
A cornerstone of Chauncey Meyers’ contributions – including his work on remodeling and new residence projects – can be found throughout the Tucson area. His commercial work includes offices, retail, restaurants, warehouses, and apartments.

Construction Worker
One side of him is architecture; the other side of him is construction. Chauncey Meyer actually delivers results on both sides.
Chauncey has co-owned his construction company for half of his career, providing the same quality and service to his clients for conceptual development through final construction. As a second-generation contractor, his experience in the trenches allows Chauncey Meyer a keen insight through the entire process. This allows him to avoid many of the redesigns other architects would never see coming.
